Specific migration (as per FSSAI & IS 9833)

Packaging of food is essential for a wide variety of functions such as protection from sunlight and external contamination, preservation, enhanced shelf life, and ease of transportation and disclosure of mandatory information while labelling. Though packaging serves a host of essential functions; it is necessary to evaluate packaging material, adhesives, printing ink, closures, and other components of packaging as they come in direct contact with food and beverages. FSSAI and IS 9833 therefore mandate that the packaging material must comply with stringent guidelines for selection and use of packaging material and their specific migration.

At VIMTA, we offer a comprehensive range of packaging testing services inclusive of specific migration studies as per FSSAI and IS 9833.
